where i'm from

a native new yorker. i grew up in nyc during the 80's and 90's when some of the most transformative events in the city's history took place.

the east village was my backyard. it's where i grew up. i was there for the riots and squatters in tompkins square park, i was there when drug dealers and syringes littered the playgrounds of the parks i played in, i was there when warhol and basquiat created masterpieces and ushered in a new era of cool. my childhood, my new york experience, has created ME. a curious, carefree, daring, inquisitive, can do anything, nothing is impossible visionary. hello.

and now, i've landed in the city of angels. the land of milk and honey from eras past to what some today call the land of smog and traffic. perhaps it was new yorkers hating on the west coast as I haven't experienced too much smog. the air feels good to me. what traffic jam?, i tend to feel the traffic was far worst in nyc. now that's a parking lot. and hey, i'm only 15 minutes from the beach and I love it when the sun rises day after day after day. hello LA.

what i do

i live life.

and since i love multi-tasking i also take pictures. i love photographing things as they are- people in their environments, kids doing their quirky things and places that are just pleasing to my eye.

i'm also a graphic designer. i enjoy finding solutions to challenging design- you know, a multi-logo layout and all companies have to "pop." i create all things printable including fabulously creative logos that inform, enlighten and excite as well as the pretty accoutrements those logos live on: business cards, letterhead, brochures, posters, and even billboard ads (that's a feat i'm proud of cause that's where i learned 10pt text which could appear 10 feet tall and might still be too small for a viewer driving by).
